How Exomem works

Tools

Assistants get read-only tools: about and capabilities (no sign-in needed), and after sign-in search, get, expand, list_collections, list_records and resolve_person, plus log_feedback for one-line reports about Exomem itself. Results are excerpts of your own records with dates and source links.

What exomem.io sees

exomem.io authenticates your assistant, then forwards each request to your computer and the answer back. Requests and answers pass through in memory and are not stored. exomem.io keeps your email address, your connected apps, your paired device and an outcome log (which tool ran, when, how long, whether it worked) for 30 days. Cloudflare carries the traffic as our network provider.

Hiding sources

Run pnpm exposure:set <source or collection> --local-only on your computer to keep something away from exomem.io. Assistants installed directly on that computer (stdio or local HTTP) still see everything.

Demo workspace

Accounts without a paired computer, and assistants that are not signed in, reach a demo workspace about an invented person. Every demo answer starts with a notice saying so.

Disconnecting

Your account page lists connected apps and your device; disconnect either at any time. pnpm link:unlink on your computer removes the pairing too.
